Bring your own paint does not mean bring any paint. We reserve the right to disallow any paint we deem inappropriate for any reason at any time with no prior warning.
CURRENTLY BANNED PAINT
1. Wild Streak (Any Color)
2. White Box / White Fill (Any Brand)
3. Any brand of Winter Formula Paint
Do not shoot these paints at The Badlandz, you will be asked to leave! Thank you for your cooperation.
You may bring your own paint to play for the day, provided;
- Its not red fill.
- The shell is not so thick as to jeopardize the safety of other participants.
- The fill is not so thick or separated that it may damage or stain the facility, bunkers, or other participants.
- You may only bring enough paint with you to play that day or in the event of a Big Game 2 days.
- If you are found to be selling paint on our property you will be asked to leave with your paint forever. Even if you try to say "the people that just handed you money are your best friends and this was a pre-arranged transaction". All we know for sure is that you handed them paint and they handed you money. That means you`re outta here!
- It is not currently banned paint.
- Winter formula paint can only be used prior to April 1st and after November 1st unless otherwise approved.
If you don’t like these rules, play somewhere else, cause we’re not changing them.
A little more on the B.Y.O.P. Rules:
Many paintball companies are in survival mode, it’s no secret that the entire industry is struggling. Most paintball businesses as you knew them only a year ago will not exist by this time next year. We like what we do and would prefer to keep doing it, so we’ve got to make the adjustments that will allow for that to happen.
Last year we all watched Fox River Games successfully add x-ball to their already good field. We also saw C.L.P stop allowing B.Y.O.P. unless you purchased it from one of their recognized dealers. CPX is continuing to increase the quality of their scenario games; all good business decisions for their respective companies.
While we were the first field around to allow you to bring your own paint and would like to keep it that way, there have got to be some controls in place.
Last year at the field we caught teams that receive discounted paint from their store sponsors selling it to other teams that do not get the same steep discount. We found team players reselling their paint to our walk-ons. There is a local distributor that is reselling paint to walk-in customers under the guise of “sponsorship”, the paint then gets to Badlandz and Fox and is sold in our parking lots by these “mini traveling dealers”.
Some stores will sell, to their walk-in customers, just slightly above cost in an attempt to keep volume up. One guy will buy 10 or 20 cases, then mark it up a bit and sell that in our lot to other walk-ons. Last year, in an almost unbelievable circumstance, we busted another local field owner’s son in our parking lot walking around with a case of XO trying to push it like some half baked crack dealer.
So while we LET you bring your own paint it doesn’t mean that we want to, or are willing to, concede our own paint sales so somebody that does not derive their living from this sport can just offset their playing expense.
If we don’t make money we cannot continue to provide you the services, the amenities, even the facility, that we do. By addressing this situation now, we are ensuring Badlandz continued success.
You think this costs a lot now, you should have seen what it cost before we opened. Even if you don’t like the Badlandz, be careful what you wish for…..
Get It Triko?
