Tradition, if you had to pick one word to summarize team play at the Badlandz it would be tradition. A tradition that was earned and continues to be earned each weekend as the Midwest's best players converge to better themselves and keep the tradition alive.

Each year hundreds of Midwest/Chicago area tournament players decide where they want to call home for the upcoming season. Repeatedly and overwhelmingly they choose Badlandz year after year for more than 16 years, we have been the hub of tournament paintball in the Midwest.

Why? We don't treat teams like a necessary evil, nor are we trying to jump on the bandwagon or "buy" our way in. We started as tournament players ourselves, long before most others had ever heard of paintball at all. We earned every single one of our 20+ world championships, ever wonder how many other fields or field owners here in Chicago have won its easy math...none.

So while Badlandz has generated teams that have dominated play world wide for years on end other fields have struggled to produce a single team that can win a single event in any division.

At the Badlandz we don't "bring in" professional players, we don't need to they're already here grinding it out right along with you. Honing their skill as they help you with yours, competition breeds winners and we've had and continue to have plenty. Feel free to compare Badlandz teams to any other fields.

INFO ABOUT TEAMS & PRACTICE:
Team Obligation: Because you are a Badlandz team it does not allow you to treat visiting teams or players in any disrespectful fashion. We are interested in growing our family not pushing people away.

You must adhere to all fields rules, you have received a discounted entrance fee and discounted practice paint. You may be on a team that gets to offset your expenses by reffing and helping out. Your team may get deeply discounted tournament paint. We are happy to work with and help all teams. Just don't confuse this with the fact that you can get away with breaking the rules. Along with what you get should come a heightened sense of obligation to the Home Field.

Tournament teams and players are expected to referee themselves, it's part of the deal when you receive your discounted entry.

Do not abuse the fact your asked to do this, if we repeatedly have trouble with any one team or player we will ask you to leave and not come back.

A few simple rules to keep in mind for all registered team players:

- Since you are entering team practice you will not be able to play in our walk-on games unless you pay a small up charge for a walk-on wristband.
- Team players will be placed in our advanced walk-on games.
- Teams must primarily ref themselves, while we provide a ref he is there to keep things safe and under control, not to call you out.

3) Why do teams get a discount ?

A) The game is expensive to play on a weekly basis and we know it, the only way for you to get better as a team is to play the best competition as often as possible. A) Yes, to an extent! You're more than welcome to place their logos on your jersey, loaders, anywhere or anything you own can sport 'em, just don't put them on anything we own, get it?

B) Want to wrap your car to look like their store? Good for you just don't park it on the road to gain some cheap exposure, let ' em get their own customers. Park yourself in the lot 'cause we're gonna move you if you don't.

C) Do not pass out ANY TYPE of promo material. You can ask but the answer will be no!

D) Please understand, we built this company and we've got to protect it. The fact that others feel they can gain exposure for their own competing brands at our facility, while complimenting is extremely annoying!
